July 9, 2004 – Informed by Harold Diegel, Ford Motor Company, that the 2004 and 2005 Mercury Mountaineer needed to be added to the list.

 

June 22, 2004 – Informed by Adriane Chiu that Hyundai and Kia will have no 2005 MY vehicles using CAN on the J1962 connector

 

June 21, 2004 – Informed by Victoria Rojahn that Aston Martin will have no 2005 MY vehicles using CAN on the J1962 connector.

 

June 3, 2004 – Informed by Bob Higgs that Jaguar will have no 2005 MY vehicles using CAN on the J1962 connector.

 

June 1, 2004 – Informed by Martin Haggett that Jaguar will have no 2005 MY vehicles using CAN on the J1962 connector.

 

June 1, 2004 – Martin Haggett updated the Land Rover portion of the spreadsheet to include 2005 models.

 

June 1, 2004 – Informed by Bob Alsip that Suzuki will have no 2005 MY vehicles using CAN on the J1962 connector.

 

May 28, 2004 – Informed by John Cabaniss that Nissan/Infiniti, BMW and Subaru will have no 2005 MY vehicles using CAN on the J1962 connector.

 

May 27, 2004 – Informed by Mike McCarthy (CARB) that Honda will have no 2005 MY vehicles using CAN on J1962 connector.

 

May 25, 2004 – Harold Diegel checked the 2003 and 2004 Model Year information pertinent to Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury badged vehicles listed on the spreadsheet provided and found it to be accurate.  He also added 2005 CAN-equipped information by model to the spreadsheet. 

 

May 25, 2004 - Based on a recommendation from Ford we added some definitions to the chart. 

 

CVT to identify Continuously Variable Transmission

 

HEV to represent a Hybrid Electric Vehicle. 

 

May 17, 2004 – Mark Saxonberg of Toyota updated the Toyota and Lexus portions of the chart to include 2005 model year information.

 

May 14, 2004 – Chris Brown of general Motors updated the GM and Saab portions of the chart to include 2005 model year information. - please note that General Motors has not publicly announced some applications and, therefore has inserted 'TBD' for engine configuration and displacement.

 

May 13, 2004 – Anders Unger of Volvo updated the Volvo Portion of the chart to include 2005 Model Year vehicles.

 

May 11, 2004 – Suanne Thomas of VW updated the VW/Audi portion of the chart to include 2005 model year vehicles.

 

May 10, 2004 – Porsche was removed from the list.  It was originally placed on the list in error..

 

May 10, 2004 – The Chart name was changed to 2003-2005 Model Year from 2003-2004 Model Years.

 

May 10, 2004 – Ken Hatayama of Mitsubishi informed us that no 2005 Model year Mitsubishis will use CAN diagnostics on the J1962 Connector.

 

May 10, 2004 – Mercedes added the 2005 SLK350 Roadster to the list.

 

May 10, 2004 – Frank Krich of Chrysler updated the Chrysler portion of the chart to include 2005 vehicles

 

May 10, 2004 - Masa Morimoto with Mazda Motor Corporation updated the Mazda portion of the chart to include 2005 model Year vehicles.
